Daily and Weekly History

Getting your hours and expenses into the system is one thing, but you probably want to view what you entered. Perhaps you want to verify that it's all correct, or do a gut-check of how much money you made that week. Or view how much work you have done that hasn't been billed to a client, or hasn't been paid to a worker.

Trust Accounting (for lawyers)

Trust accounts are used by law firms to keep a separate tally on customer dollars. In general, states have strict accounting rules that require attorneys to deposit unbilled/unearned client funds in trust accounts. The most common reason for entering a trust account deposit is when you receive a retainer from a client.

Managing Clients

One of the first things you do when you start using the EnterYourHours.com System will be to enter your clients in the Manage Clients screen. As you can imagine, your clients are used in almost every screen of the system. The EnterYourHours.com System allows you to store all the necessary basic information about a client as well manage projects for that client.

Managing Workers

The Manage Workers screen is where you add your employees, 1099 consultants, overseas professional, or anyone else who bills hours that you need to charge to a client. You are essentially creating user accounts for everyone who bills hours for you. You set their pay rate so you'll know exactly how much you owe them when it comes time to do payroll, and you can even set separate bill rates for that worker across different clients.

You also set permissions for your workers, as well as create teams, which controls who can adjust and edit hours for other workers.

Billing and Invoicing

The billing tab is where you go when you are ready to bill your clients. You can bill them at any time, on scheduled basis, or whenever your business demands it. The EnterYourHours.com System makes it easy to filter only the hours you want to bill, and it will keep track of exactly what you billed, and when you billed it, and optionally, what the current balance is that your client owes. The easy-to-use, intuitive drill-down interface let's you access, with precision-like focus, the individual tasks being billed, so you can pinpoint particular clients, workers, date ranges. You will also get pdf reports, and see breakdowns of revenue, cost, and profitability of each client and worker.

Payroll

The payroll screen is similar to Billing and Invoicing, and has many of the same functions, except, of course, you are deciding which workers to pay, rather than which clients to bill. Similarly, the EnterYourHours.com System uses the same intuitive and powerful filtering system, drill-down interface, and reporting features that allow you to decide exactly which work will be paid, and which will have to wait for the next cycle.

Collaboration (Communications & Tasks)

The EnterYourHours.com System is more than a billing system; it's a collaborative billing system. The system makes it easy to time your task, record your hours, and keep track of the hours you've entered. However, where the billing collaboration occurs is when you combine, track, and adjust the work performed across all of your workers and bill your clients in one clean, professional invoice.

Since the EnterYourHours.com System likes to collaborate, the creators figured it would be a good idea to include other collaboration tools. From this the Communications and Tasks tabs were born.

On the Communications tab, you can send messages to workers, team leaders, and other admins, as well as post messages on your company's EnterYourHours.com homepage. On the Tasks tab you can assign tasks, and track their progress.
